A fair share of climate finance? An appraisal of past performance, future pledges and prospective contributors

Developed countries committed to provide and mobilise $100 billion of climate finance each year between 2020 and 2025. However, they fell short of this target in 2020 and 2021, and look like to do so again in 2022. In this report, we apply our methodology to new data on countries’ climate finance contributions in 2020 and their commitments to 2025. We further assess which additional countries should be providing climate finance going forward.
