Plan International, as a member of the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance, powered by the Z Zurich Foundation, works with communities in Nigeria to strengthen their resilience against climate hazards. This report provides a baseline overview of flood resilience in Adamawa and Yobe, summarizing findings from 2025 studies on community vulnerabilities, institutional capacity, and gender and social inclusion. It highlights key gaps in early warning systems, financial support, coordination, and inclusive governance, and outlines priority areas for strengthening resilience systems.
