Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction

The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) is the global gathering on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), co-hosted by UNDRR and the host country (Switzerland), and backed by the Sendai Framework as the global approach to DRR. The Platform brings together governments, the UN system and other stakeholders to share knowledge, identify gaps and make recommendations to further accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework. The overall theme for the event this year is “Every Day Counts, Act for Resilience” and will take place in Geneva at the International Conference Centre Geneva on 2nd – 6th June.

More than 30 colleagues from across the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance will be there to share our knowledge and insights, particularly with regards to people-centred Early Warning Systems (EWS) for climate hazards.
