The ‘Ecological Sanitation’ (Eco-San) toilet is an innovative sanitation technology that is food resilient and odorless.It uses almost no water in its operation, and human waste products are used as fertilizer. It is a double chambered toilet that converts human waste to ‘humanure’ which is used as fertilizer in agricultural yields and kitchen gardens.It collects waste above the ground and so prevents groundwater from being contaminated.
